Morning Prayer from the King James Bible App

Colossians 1:9 (KJV)  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

Inspiration
Praying for oneself is easy. Ones daily prayers to God or in an hour of need are common occurrences. Yet, how many of us pray for others? Furthermore, how many pray for those outside our circle of friends and family, even for those who do not pray for us? This is where our challenge lies. How many of us, in following in Christ’s footsteps, have even prayed for our enemies, asking for their forgiveness, or that the Lord may find a way into their hearts? It is on these trails that we most define ourselves and the core of our faith, as one with the message and hope of salvation for all of mankind.

Prayer
Lord, make me channel of Your peace and a vessel of good hope. Heed my prayers, not only for my family and friends, but also those who do not yet know Your word and its truth. Show them mercy and compassion as You have done for me O Heavenly Father, as I continue to work in Your will, to spread Your message and wisdom. Amen.
